A Journey of Deliberate Detours

2017 — College Days
The Startup Spark
While pursuing Mechanical Engineering at Christ College, I co-founded Virtual Transit Edumate (VTed) — an edtech startup. We pitched investors and secured ₹10 lakhs in funding. I led marketing and operations, and somewhere between pitch decks and growth strategies, I wrote my first lines of HTML and CSS. That was the moment IT stopped being a foreign language.

Pre-2019 — Before The Jobs
The Himalayan Detour
Before stepping into a corporate role, I chose the mountains. Months hitchhiking through the Himalayas and Dehradun — no fixed itinerary, no guarantees. Just a backpack, curiosity, and whatever ride was willing. That chapter taught me resilience and the art of figuring things out as you go.

2019–2021 — Infosys
Into the Deep End
Freshly graduated with a Mechanical degree, I joined Infosys as a Software Engineer. Two years of intense learning — mobile app development in Xamarin Forms, Angular web apps for a US banking company, and investment portfolio tooling for Bank of America. The transition from mechanical gears to digital architecture was steep, but I loved every moment of the climb.

2022 — Finastra
Product-First Thinking
I moved to Finastra — a product company — and everything shifted. Embedded in a senior dev team working on the cloud migration of Credit Quest, a credit decisioning product. The level of engineering rigour and peer learning was unlike anything in a services environment. Fintech became my domain.

2024 — Canada & Appfabs
New Country, New Stack
I moved to Canada — North York, Toronto — and joined a Guidewire implementation project at Appfabs. React (Jutro framework) became my primary tool building insurance platform UIs: multi-step wizard workflows, micro frontend architecture, role-based component systems. I earned the Guidewire Jutro Associate Certification.

2024 — Hippie Cloud
The Side Story That Matters
I built and launched Hippie Cloud — a fully automated property management and curated itinerary experience platform managing multiple properties across Canada. Built the website myself. The business runs lean, automated, and intentionally unscaled — because right now, my IT career comes first. But the entrepreneur in me never left.

Resilience & Spirit

Hitchhiking in the Himalayas
"Every 6 months, the mountains."
Solo travel is my reset. Long trips, unfamiliar roads, conversations with strangers. The Himalayas taught me that most problems look different from altitude — a perspective I carry into every sprint.
Anirudh
"Resilience is the word."
I don't quit until I've given 100%. It's not a motto — it's a pattern I noticed hitchhiking through mountain passes with no plan, debugging production issues at midnight, and building a business in a new country from scratch.
"From gears to code — and never looking back."
I graduated as a Mechanical Engineer. I helped raise ₹10 lakhs for a startup before I knew what an API was. I hitchhiked the Himalayas before my first Java service. None of that was wasted — every unconventional chapter taught me how to learn fast, stay adaptable, and build things that actually work. Continuous learning isn't a buzzword for me. It's what gets me out of bed.
